Our Story
We (Andy & Shirley) have been keen caravanners for a number of years and longstanding members of the Camping & Caravanning Club and the Caravan Club.
Whilst touring with our caravan and staying mainly on the small CS sites we felt the yearning to own and run our own small campsite and felt we could offer a really good service to other campers. Because of our own experiences we felt we knew what other campers liked and disliked.
In 2014, several things all came together at the same time giving us the opportunity to begin our adventure!
So we set about looking for a property, scouring England and Wales for a suitable location which is when we came across Bush Farm, already a campsite in a great location being just a short drive away from the beaches at Saundersfoot and Tenby but also ideal for sightseeing to the east such as Pendine, the west for Pembroke, Freshwater, Angle, Broadhaven, St Davids and many other beautiful places . Also easy to get too is the North Pembrokeshire coast such as Fishguard, Cardigan, the Preseli Hills and the Gwaun Valley!
So in April 2015 Andy gave up his job of 30 plus years, we sold our home in Hampshire, England and we moved in and set about making improvements to the campsite including re-gravelling the tourer pitches, planting privacy hedges between pitches, planting trees and improving the electric hookups and more.
We are pleased with the improvements we have made to date but we won't be resting on our laurels by any means as we are always looking to improve what we have and what we do! Our vision and goal is to be one of the best small campsites in Pembrokeshire. We must be doing something right as we have a number of campers that return for their holidays each year.
So when you arrive at Bush Farm you can be assured that you will receive a warm welcome from us and we will do our best to make your stay a pleasant and enjoyable experience!
Thank you for reading.

Bush Farm
Bush Farm is believed to have been built by a wealthy landowner and politician around 1842 and rented to tenant farmers. Apparently, during World War II bombs was dropped, destroying the east end of the farmhouse and a herd of pigs! A hollow in the ground where a bomb dropped can still be seen in the garden where the holiday caravan resides. There is an Anderson shelter in the farmhouse garden. Just as well really!
So why bomb here? Well the Luftwaffe were after the military airfields of Templeton, Carew and Haverfordwest and more significantly about half a mile north of Bush Farm was a decoy airfield now, now just fields and trees but you can still make out the fake runways and can still see the old turbine house that used to power the fake landing lights by walking the the old dramline that used to carry coal from the mine at Thomas Chapel to Saundersfoot harbour where it was loaded on to boats.
After the war Bush Farm as well as farming it was also a petrol garage and vehicle repair workshop. There were a couple of petrol pumps which are now long gone and is now just our driveway.
The Farm has now ceased to be a working farm and most of the land was sold off to neighbouring farms leaving it with about 4 acres most of which of course accommodates the campsite on Moory Meadow.
